Research Delivery Manager – CRN Wessex
This is a great opportunity to join the senior management team for the Clinical Research Network Wessex (CRN Wessex)and work with clinicians, NHS organisations and other key stakeholders to deliver a portfolio of research studies across eight specialties - cardiovascular, diabetes, metabolic & endocrine, renal disorders, stroke, neurodegenerative disorders, mental health and neurological.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative communicator who will be responsible for the day-to-day strategic and operational management of the research portfolio. You will need a proven track-record in building effective relationships across organisational boundaries.
The National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) CRN Wessex is hosted by University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust. The network is tasked with making research ‘work’ in the NHS. CRN Wessex is one of 15 local research networks covering England. The geographical footprint of Wessex is (Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Dorset and South Wiltshire). It is comprised of 12 partner NHS organisations and 10 clinical commissioning groups.
You will work closely with the clinical specialty leads to engage key stakeholders across NHS organisations, NIHR co-ordinating centre, other key health research partners and patients / public to increase the number of clinical trials and availability of research opportunities to the local population.
The postholder will be based at Tom Rudd Unit, Moorgreen Hospital, SO30 3JB.

The selection process will be by panel interview.
