Post Title – Junior Fellow in Surgical Critical Care & Perioperative Medicine

Start Date of Post –ASAP

Contract Length –Fixed Term for 6/12 months

Applications are invited for Junior Fellow in Surgical Critical Care and Perioperative Medicine
This post is for 6 months initially, extendable to 1 year (two posts are available).

Previous critical care experience is not essential. Applicants with Anaesthetics, medical, emergency medicine or surgical backgrounds will be considered. Support for study leave will be given. Fellows will have the opportunity to participate in the clinical research trials and audits currently underway.

Please note that this post does not carry Postgraduate Dean’s approval or training recognition.

Applicants will be expected to demonstrate their competence to communicate in spoken and written English. 

Where equivalent qualifications or experience are being offered, it is essential that candidates should provide confirmation of this from the relevant College or Faculty in the United Kingdom and attach the confirmation to your application

Please note that GMC registration (with a licence to practice) and Right to work in the UK are essential for this role.  Successful applicants will already have GMC registration or will be able to demonstrate they are eligible.  Applicants requiring Tier 2 sponsorship should ensure they meet the Home Office application criteria prior to submitting an application. 

Appointment will be made under Local Contractual Terms and Conditions of Service for Trust Appointed (Non-Training Fellow Doctors and Dentists) which will be published and available at time of offers.

Grades for Trust appointed (non-training) Fellows will be paid a basic salary at a Nodal pay point linked to the grade, at the rate set out in the National Medical and Dental pay circular. Basic salary detailed below plus any additional remuneration (as applicable) for hours set out in the doctors work schedule (e.g additional hours, weekend allowance, and any hours which attract enhanced pay)
