Patient Support Volunteers
This role is a new 'combined' volunteer role which will encompass a broad range of things that you can get involved in, whilst spending time with and supporting some of our more in-need patients.
As a patient support volunteer, you could help to brighten someone's day by having a friendly conversation and providing a listening ear for patients who don't get many visitors.
We'll train you so that you can also help our patients raise a concern, or have their say about their stay.
We'll also provide training to help build your confidence in supporting patients in more practical ways too, for example perhaps by helping those that need to maintain regular exercise or people who could use a little extra support around mealtimes.
So if you'd like to volunteer some of your time to support our patients and have around 3 hours a week to spare, why not apply to become a Patient Support Volunteer?
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
