An exciting opportunity has arisen for a senior registered nurse to join the Nutrition Support and Intestinal Failure team, within University Hospitals Southampton NHS Foundation Trust. The post holder will work alongside an established multidisciplinary team who provide care for patients with complex nutritional and surgical needs from across the region.

This pivotal role will be instrumental in supporting the coordination of specialist care pathways for those patients requiring home intravenous support, ensuring a seamless service from tertiary to primary care.

We are looking for someone with relevant experience in caring for patients with gastrointestinal conditions and an understanding of the challenges associated with managing long term conditions. The successful applicant will need to possess excellent interpersonal skills to provide practical patient education and communicate successfully with a wide variety of people. They will need to demonstrate flexibility and innovation in their way of working, providing a visible and approachable presence for patients, their families and carers.
