We currently have a vacancy in the Pharmacy Logistics Department at Southampton University Hospitals NHS Trust.

The role involves the supply of medicines to wards working within a multi-disciplinary team. Tasks include stock management, receipting and  issuing of pharmaceutical products, distribution to wards including ward-based replenishment and day-to-day maintenance of the robotic distribution system. You will be supported in gaining a recognised accredited qualification in pharmacy & supply.

We are looking for an applicant with good written & verbal communication skills. The ability to work in a team and independently is necessary and a good standard of numeracy and literacy is essential.

IT skills and experience in stock movement and rotation are advantageous. A good standard of health & fitness is desirable as this work can be strenuous at times.

This is a full time post. Hours include weekend work  at the rate of 1:4 and bank holiday working on a rota basis. Cover for late night working will also be required on a weekly basis.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
