An excellent opportunity to join the Operational Delivery Network (ODN) team working primarily with clinicians, acute hospitals and commissioners across a Thames Valley and Wessex Network.

You will be an experienced healthcare leader with the ability to manage a range of challenges with the acute hospital organisations and specialised commissioning network partners.

Leading a work programme aligned with NHS England priorities, this is a dynamic phase for the Network with a National Service review nearing completion and local area reviews resulting in a drive for quality improvement and innovation.

You will have an opportunity to play a key role in driving work programmes aligned with the National Maternity Transformation work and the development of neonatal priorities through the Local Maternity Systems.

The Thames Valley & Wessex Neonatal Network operates as part of a NHS South Regional team led by the Medical Director for Specialised Commissioning; with the Thames Valley & Wessex team office bases in Southampton and just north of Winchester, Hampshire you will work across the two Senate areas to deliver national quality initiatives and imperatives.

The Network is ‘Hosted’ by University Hospital Southampton, acting as the employer and accountable to NHS England for network governance.

The post is available on a secondment basis for up to 2 years. Applicants please note : there is flexibility to consider alternative base locations.
