An opportunity has arisen to join a small, friendly and dedicated team within the Princess Anne Hospital as a Speciality admin team clerk. The booking clerk role is varied, interesting and crucial to ensuring an excellent patient experience every step of the way.

You will be working on busy reception areas and therefore excellent customer service and telephone skills are essential as you will be dealing with staff and patients on a daily basis by phone and face to face communication. This will include rescheduling appointments for either an admission to hospital or an outpatient appointment.

We are looking for full time hours (37.5hours)

The hours required will be 7.30 hr shifts, hours are  8am – 4 and 9.30 am to 5.30pm on a rota’d basis, you will be required to cover both shifts.

You will be responsible for dealing with all administration of maternity referrals from GP’s to their first appointment with their midwife and booking patient ultrasound scans. Keeping all the relevant systems up to date in a timely and efficient manner.

 

This role will entail:

*Regular telephone contact with patients/GP’s and other relevant clinical professionals ensuring   the patients pathway runs smoothly

*Booking appointments within a set period of time essential to the patients care.

* Booking transport and interpreters.

* All other admin duties such as scanning documents/ post and the generic email account.

* Using UHS systems including Eops, eCamis, HICCS and  Cris

*Work closely with the multi-professional team members:

* Support Bittern Health Centre’s antenatal clinic covering the reception area annual leave and sickness as required.

*Liaise with the midwifery teams/obstetric consultants and all other administration teams.

*Ultrasound booking of both gynaecology and obstetric scans
