An exciting leadership opportunity has arisen for a Senior Operational Maintenance Manager responsible for defect and planned maintenance in all patient facing, staff and common areas at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust. The post holder will be responsible for the direct labour force carrying out maintenance work at Southampton General Hospital and the Princess Anne Hospital as well as the outsourced maintenance services at the Countess Mountbatten House and some other smaller sites.

The Estates Maintenance Team at University Hospital Southampton provides, grounds, buildings, mechanical and electrical maintenance services and is currently changing to a ward and area based service in order to deliver it in a way that is customer focused, reactive and responsive.

We are looking for a customer focused, highly motivated and enthusiastic person with a sound technical knowledge of engineering and building systems and experience in the delivery of estates services in either the private or public sector.

The post holder will be required to participate in the department’s senior management on-call rota from home out of hours.
