At UHS we think our values of Putting Patients First, Working Together and Always Improving are key to everything we do. So think how excited we are to create a new Employee Relations Team to support our managers in achieving these values.
You may already have experience gained in a fast-paced HR environment and enjoy the employee relations aspect- or perhaps you’re keen to launch a career in HR. Either way, if you’re a proven administrator with first-rate organisational and communication skills, this is your chance to build a great future with our newly formed Employee Relations team.
One of the largest teaching healthcare organisations in the UK, UHS has around 10,500 staff providing a broad range of services to some 1.9 million people in Southampton and south Hampshire. As for the future, we’re looking forward to exciting times ahead as we drive rapid growth and development across the Trust.
Now you can be part of that future as you provide high-quality admin support across our team’s diverse range of work. It’s a wide-ranging role that will see you answering queries, dealing with incoming emails, producing reports, organising meetings and keeping records up-to-date.
If you think that sounds like a fairly standard administrative job though, think again. That’s because you’ll enjoy ongoing training and support to achieve Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development qualifications. As your knowledge and skills grow, you’ll have the opportunity to become more involved in the HR work of the team - so should definitely be keen to learn.
With experience gained in a busy office environment, you’ve the ability to manage your own priorities and meet tight deadlines. Excellent communication, PC and customer-facing skills are also essential along with excellent word and excel skills, combined with a strong attention to detail.
In return, you can look forward to a great range of benefits, including 27 days holiday per year, and an excellent pension scheme, not to mention fast and easy public transport connections.
You can catch a bus from right outside the main entrance – and the nearest mainline train station is Southampton Central, with buses from the station to the hospital every eight minutes.
