We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Housekeeper to join our friendly team within the Young Adult Cardiac Unit at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will be able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team and be able to anticipate the needs of patients and staff. You will contribute to the smooth running and organisation of the ward ensuring that all patients have a positive experience whilst in our care. The post holder will work as an integral part of the nursing team co-ordinate non-clinical patient services/facilities in the ward area and ensure the ward is a clean, safe and comfortable environment.

Working hours will be 22.5 hours per week to include weekends.


The main responsibilities for the post will include -


• Working alongside all disciplines of staff, monitoring the ward environment.
• Undertaking housekeeping tasks to ensure the ward environment is clean and presentable.
• Maintaining Records of Cleaning.
• Assisting patients with their nutritional needs.

• The Ward Manager and the Nursing Team
• Serco Domestic Supervisor and Ward Domestic
• Serco Ward Host/Hostess
