Southampton Children’s Hospital Education team are looking for a new member to join the team. The education team continues to increase in staff number and develop in its provision of education both within the Children’s hospital and the wider Wessex region.
The service has a lead nurse for education and practice. This role is supported within the Children’s Hospital by a team of clinical facilitators who are clinically based to support and develop nurses in the clinical areas. The team supports learning, competency development and practice development in the band 2 to 8 workforces and pre-registration nursing students and apprentices.
The team will also support the medical teams with their mandatory training.
We are looking for an experienced children’s cardiology nurse to join the Children’s Hospital education team as the clinical facilitator for the children’s cardiology ward (E1). This 2 day a week position (15 hours) is an essential role to supporting the ward in staff development, inductions, speciality skill development, supporting mandatory training, supporting under graduate nurses and doctors and working under the umbrella of the children’s education team.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
