Here at UHS, the Cross Sectional Imaging Service is comprised of CT, MRI and Neuro Angiography modalities.

We are currently undergoing a full refurbishment of the department which, in the last 3 years, has given us 3 new Siemens Aera 1.5T MRI scanners, 2 new Siemens Skyra 3T MRI scanners.

Candidates should be energetic and forward thinking, have the ability to manage a team and demonstrate sound, innovative leadership styles and skills in an evolving environment.

Excellent communication, decision-making and motivation skills are key qualities and attributes to possess as you will be responsible for co-ordinating the daily workload and workforce. You will be working alongside Radiologists, Radiographers, Physicists, Radiography department assistants, Nurses and other health care professionals.

This is a clinical based role and you will be expected to manage your time effectively between clinical and management tasks. You will need to demonstrate continuing professional development and a strong commitment to providing safe, good value, quality care for patients and their relatives.

This is a friendly department which embraces innovative thinking and are looking for an enthusiastic individual, who is also a keen team player. Our philosophy is one of delivering and being part of a proud and professional workforce, striving for excellence in patient care, experience, and staff satisfaction.

We welcome applications from Radiographers who have full HCPC registration and can demonstrate sound experience in MRI, including thorough up to date knowledge of MRI safety whilst also having good leadership skills. A willingness to participate in evening shifts and weekend duties is also required to meet the demands of this busy service.
